We kick off In2Leadership with a panel on innovation moderated by Kate Horowitz of The Institutes. Help us focus the conversation with your thoughts:

    1. What questions do you have related to innovation and your role?
    2. What challenges, successes or failures have you experienced with innovation?
    3. Do you face roadblocks to innovation and how have you overcome them?
    4. Do you consider yourself an innovative person? Why or why not?
    5. What else do you want to know about innovation but were afraid to ask?

Thank you and we can't wait to see you in Phoenix next week!

    Angie,

Here is some questions that concern me.

    1. Have we succumbed to the "shiny penny" syndrome with the multitude of innovations being developed and potentially distracting us from sound insurance decisions?  Shiny object syndrome is the situation where people focus undue attention on an idea that is new and trendy, yet drop it in its entirety as soon as something new can take its place.
    2. Are we searching for the "perfect mousetrap"?

    Thanks,

    Hi Angie,

If you are looking for specific topic areas AI comes to mind. However, before going blindly into adopting AI 'everywhere' an innovative conversation would be about assessing the risks associated to using AI.

Looking forward to seeing you in Phoenix.

    Hi Angie,

    Thanks for the opportunity!

What questions do you have related to innovation and your role?

What impacts will Artificial Technology have on Learning and Development in the next year?

What challenges, successes or failures have you experienced with innovation?

Senior leaders that say they are open to innovative ideas then there is no "budget" or "time" to pursue them. How do we get beyond those roadblocks?

Do you face roadblocks to innovation and how have you overcome them?

When I'm not feeling very innovative I think of all of the ways I or we have done something and then seek new ones. Sometimes it needs a complete change in focus, environment, or people.

Do you consider yourself an innovative person? Why or why not?

Being innovative depends on if you are willing to be curious out loud, say what hasn't been said, do what hasn't been done, and being willing to take a risk.

What else do you want to know about innovation but were afraid to ask?

How do you best promote innovation and honor the memories of the past positive / good traditions?

    Be well,
