    Q & A
    1. My country already had an ambassador. Should I still apply? Yes! Every applicant has a fair chance at winning, regardless of whether or not past ambassadors have been selected from their country.
    2. What should applicants do to make sure their applications are considered? The first step is to complete the application in its entirety. Additionally, it is helpful to show your passion for the CPCU Society and/or the insurance industry as a whole. Each candidate should highlight how the CPCU designation and/or membership in the Society has influenced their journey in the insurance industry, including their current position. We understand that experiences and opportunities vary by country, so sharing what the Society represents in different global insurance markets will add tremendous value to an application.
    3. Why did the Society start this program?  The International Ambassador program was started to help CPCU Society members overseas promote the CPCU designation as well as to provide financial support for attending In2Risk in person. It also fosters a platform for international members to share their unique knowledge and know-how in relation to their own insurance markets, countries, and culture. Furthermore, the program encourages all Society members to embrace diversity and share their knowledge in an effort to enhance the CPCU Society as a global organization and community.
    4. If an applicant was not selected, can they still volunteer at Society?Yes! There are plenty of opportunities to get involved with the Society. Also keep in mind that if you are not selected as International Ambassador this year, you can apply again next year. Selecting an ambassador is difficult because the quality of the candidates is so high. To learn more about other Society volunteer opportunities, reach out to any Society staff member or one of the following members of the International Ambassador Committee:
    5. Describe the judging process, please. The judging panel is made up of volunteer leaders with the CPCU Society as well as past International Ambassadors. Each member of the panel deeply values this program and as such takes their responsibility for selecting a winner very seriously. Each individual application is graded on its own merits and the scores are tallied. The candidate with the highest overall score is selected to serve as the next International Ambassador.
    6. Any Final Words?Submitting an application for the International Ambassador program is a great opportunity to get to know dynamic CPCU Society volunteer leaders. So regardless of the outcome, we still strongly encourage you to submit an application and continue to get involved with the global CPCU Society community.
