Jeff has over 46 years of expertise in the insurance industry, with an emphasis on both underwriting and the marketing and sales of alternative risk transfer products. Currently, he is assistant vice president for the Captive Division of The PMA Insurance Group. Since 1990, Jeff has worked in the alternative market area, including serving as Senior Regional Vice President for Mutual Risk Management where he specialized in providing Fortune 500 companies with captives and rent-a-captive solutions for their insurance needs.
In his current position, Jeff’s unit addresses the risk management needs of larger accounts with specialized insurance needs and works collaboratively with clients to help balance loss costs with increased risk assumption to improve their asset protection and financial stability.
Jeff continues to teach, presenting underwriting and finance classes for insurance professionals, and teaches at The Fox Business School of Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He also participates in public speaking engagements throughout the insurance industry.

Eric is a Senior Vice President – Underwriting Manager for North Carolina-based Topsail Reinsurance Underwriters, LLC. He has more than 25 years of experience in primary and reinsurance underwriting operations. Eric started his career as a personal line automobile underwriting manager for American Ambassador Insurance Company. He transitioned over to the commercial side and went on to become a commercial line underwriting manager for Safeco Insurance Company.
After starting his reinsurance career with SCOR Reinsurance, he went on to become an integral member of a specialty lines unit at Munich Re and at BMS Intermediaries. Before joining Topsail Re, Eric was a Director at Arch Reinsurance Company. Eric’s reinsurance responsibilities included leading the underwriting team, marketing, underwriting and account management for Topsail’s national, regional, specialty and niche insurance clients.
He earned his Bachelor of Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and holds six insurance designations. His designations include the CPCU, Are, AU, ARM, MIP and AFIS. A lifelong advocate of insurance education, he is the current Chair of the CPCU Society Reinsurance and Excess Surplus Lines Interest Group, past president of the Chicago NW CPCU chapter and a frequent contributor to industry publications and webinars. Eric is an active board member of a mutual insurance company and is based in Chicago.
