Mr. Swierkiewicz has over 50 years of experience in property and casualty insurance and reinsurance underwriting, management, company startup, marketing, and product research and development. He is a former vice president of an insurer and chief underwriting officer of a reinsurer.

He founded Insurance & Reinsurance Consulting & Outsourcing Services (IRCOS, LLC) in 2000. His practice consists of property and casualty expert witness, consulting, and arbitration engagements.

He holds a BA in economics from Temple University. He is a CPCU, former member of the CPCU CLEW Interest Group (predecessor of the Legal & Regulatory Interest Group), and ARIAS US Certified Arbitrator and Qualified Mediator.

Douglas R. Emerick is an underwriting expert who has over 40 years of experience in various specialty lines of insurance, including surety, commercial fidelity, directors and officers liability, and specialty errors and omissions. Doug has experience with the preeminent building cost provider to the insurance industry.

Doug consults on matters of insurance and reinsurance arbitration, mediation, company startup and runoff, due diligence, feasibility studies, product research and development, policy review, and underwriting audit. With bonding impairment as a prime focus, he is responsible for making underwriting decisions about continuing, changing, and closing contract surety, fidelity, and financial institution accounts. Additionally, he has extensive experience in financial and background analysis, lines of credit, and bondability in construction surety. He has served as an expert witness in bonding impairment matters, including writing expert witness reports and testifying at hearings, depositions, and trials. Doug is also a trained and certified mediator.

He is presently the director of operations at Insurance Expert Network, the industry leader in referring insurance experts to litigating attorneys.
