CPCU Society Webinar: Overcoming Imposter Syndrome
Presenter: Darcy Andrews
Nov 16th at 2:00 PM ET

There is a heightened focus in companies to be champions of diversity and inclusion in today’s environment. A sense of belonging is included as one of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and is critical to the organization’s drive of inclusion efforts. How can we get along better if we can’t bring our authentic selves to work because we don’t feel like we belong? It is estimated that at least 70% of people have felt doubts about their capabilities, position, or performance. This discussion will highlight the importance of overcoming self-doubts to increase that sense of belonging. It will help participants recognize and overcome imposter syndrome in themselves and assist others in doing the same. In creating a sense of belonging for ourselves and others, we can naturally create a space of inclusion and acceptance, contributing to the positivity and success of our organizations.
