  • 1.  Hotel hold charge? Anyone else?

Did anyone else get charged by WDW DISNEY RES this morning?  $280.13

I've tried searching on the reservations, Disney's website, etc... Can't find anything about this charge.

I'm assuming it's a hold for the hotel at Disney's Coronado Resort?

I haven't received any emails or anything though explaining what this is for, and was hoping someone here had info?

Being that we're roughly 60 days out, I imagine this is the hotel hold charge...

I saw the same charge last night and I received two charges but I have two rooms. I'm assuming these will be pending for awhile.

There was a note when registering that said a one night deposit would be charged on Aug 30.  Also stated that could get full refund if canceled five days before your reservation.

    Hi, Tyler,

Yes, when I made my reservation, there was a notice on the page saying the hotel would charge one night's deposit starting August 30.  This is their reservation hold.

This is the verbiage that shows in my confirmation email:

    Cancellation Policy:

Credit cards on file will be charged 1 night room and tax starting August 30.

To receive a refund of your deposit, including credit card deposit transactions, we must receive notice of cancellation from you at least five days before your arrival date.

Please note that if you are holding any other types of reservations, such as dining reservations, those reservations will not be cancelled unless you also advise us to cancel them.

Yes, I was advised in the email confirmation that I would be charged 1 day room and tax as a deposit to hold the room.
