  • 1.  General questions - dress code and is there a exhibitor hall?

    Posted 10-31-2024 07:45 AM

    Good morning,

The packing anxiety is beginning... For conferment in particular I'm curious as to the dress code.

For those gaps in desired classes, or after hours, is there a sponsor/exhibitor hall or room?

    Appreciate it!

    Bill

    Good morning!

I know that packing anxiety is for real! Haha. But don’t let it stress you out!

The “official” dress code for the event is casual - most people will go business casual for the majority of the event. Some will choose to dress up a little more for conferment, but that is completely up to you!

Between sessions there is a large lobby where exhibitors will set up to meet attendees and where you can mingle with your fellow CPCUs.

Let us know if you have any other questions and see you in Orlando!

    Hi William,

Great questions! For the dress code question, I would direct you to our In2Risk24 site in the "What to Pack" section:

    https://www.in2risk.org/event/7a63f1cd-e115-4d10-9a95-991258e41688/websitePage:2aa56c74-9122-4117-8f6d-e095218c6e6d

The "What to pack" section is found in the "About" dropdown at the top, then click on the What to expect tab, and it includes photos of attendees from past In2Risk.and the following info:

As for your question on sponsor/exhibitor hall or room, there is always the membership desk area, along with other designated areas to visit, such as Meet and Greet tables, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion lounges, a headshots area, and a welcome area, along woth other spots for you to mingle and network (and grab light refreshments!).

    Looking forward to connecting!

    Lee

Thanks for the link! I couldn't find that for the life of me. I verified with Disney that the hotel does have dry cleaning available if people are lousy at ironing like I am.

Is there a drop dead date to purchase park tickets? I didn't see anything on the Disney or In2Risk site.

Appreciate your help on my last minute stuff that I should have asked so long ago. October was rough...

Hi William, no "drop dead date" for park tickets but make sure to use the link in the registration email for your special ticket discounts on the parks.

I also have sucked at ironing my whole life. I just steam my clothes and it works great. You have a few options here:

1.) Use the shower heat and hang your clothes in the bathroom
2.) Use a travel steamer (best option)
3.) Use a spray bottle of water and a hair dryer

Great suggestions on the clothes prep, Brad. All are very effective. Luckily for me, my mother taught my brothers, sister and I how to iron at a young age and now it's just a regular part of my routine. It takes a little extra time, but it's worth it in the long run. I was hoping to bring a can of starch for some of my ironing, but the airline didn't allow it. See you at the conference!
