Michael Koscielny has served as the Vice President of Underwriting at Florida Peninsula Insurance Company, Sarasota, Florida, since February 2014. Mike has more than 40 years’ experience, creating innovative processes in underwriting and pricing, in the insurance industry. Has worked for MunichRe/American Modern Insurance, Auto Club Group, Kemper Insurance and SAFECO Insurance in various roles including underwriting, marketing, sales, product management and executive leadership.

Founder and CEO of Born2Lead, LLC, its goal is to develop and mentor emerging leaders in every industry for roles of greater responsibility. Sharing leadership skills that have a proven track record for success in group and personal settings helps young professionals bridge the gap as they prepare themselves not only technically but as future leaders. Born2Lead, LLC offers workshops on leadership skills development, setting professional/career goals, active listening skills for success, and for mentors, becoming allies, advocates, and champions, among many other sessions tailored to the needs of those young leaders.

Served as CPCU Society President in 2017 and 2017-2018 President of the Underwriting Executives Council. Over the past 25 years served the CPCU Society as Leadership Council member, Chapter Governor, Chair of the Champions Advisory Committee, Chair of the Interest Group Task Force, and President of the Cincinnati and Northwest Chicago Chapters.





Spenser Villwock, MBA, MNM, IOM

As Executive Director for the CPCU Society at The Institutes, Spenser Villwock is committed to advancing the mission and serving the members of the global professional organization. Prior to joining The Institutes in 2021, Villwock has led purpose and mission-driven organizations over the last two decades.

Villwock holds a Bachelors of Science degree, master’s in non-profit management, an MBA, and is a graduate of the Harvard University Nonprofit Executive Leadership program. Additionally, he is one of only 400 globally to hold advanced industry certifications of both a US Chamber of Commerce Institute of Management designation (IOM) and the ASAE Certified Association Executive credential (CAE). Raised in Iowa, Villwock has also lived in Oregon, Japan, Maryland, Colorado, and currently resides in Washington DC.





Glenn Harris, CPCU, AIDA, ASLI

Philadelphia Insurance Companies

Glenn is an energetic, task-oriented, problem-solving insurance and military leader that likes to find ways to do new and innovative things. He is the product manager for the RV Park & Campgrounds and Fitness & Wellness products at Philadelphia Insurance Companies. He strives to create a collaborative work environment between all of the different stakeholders involved including underwriting, claims, actuarial, and compliance to ensure efficient and effective communication. In the military, he has served as a leader during three overseas tours including two combat tours in the Middle East and is a Bronze Star recipient.

Glenn serves as the President of the Colorado Chapter of the CPCU Society, serves on the Committee for the International Insurance Interest Group (3iG), and is the editor for the 3iG publication, The Informant.

Glenn holds a master’s degree in business administration specializing in risk management and insurance from the University of Colorado, and has earned the CPCU, AIM, ARM, AU-M, AIC-M, AIDA, ARe, ASLI, AIS, and AINS designations.





Heather Blevins, MEd, CPCU, AIC (Moderator)

Heather is a passionate, creative, problem-solving rebel who loves to prove that her wild ideas work. She loves sunsets, getting lost when she travels, and the power jolt she gets from capturing the stories that dance in her head. Her day job with State Farm® involves helping people figure out their why, giving them the tools to execute on their “why,” and pushing others along their journey to realize their why. Her side hustles include teaching the next generation about the coolness of risk management and insurance and volunteer service with the CPCU Society, the Society of Insurance Trainers and Educators, NAMIC, and State Farm’s Military Affinity Employee Resource Group.

Heather currently serves as President of the Central Illinois CPCU Society, Vice-President of Marketing for SITE, Social Media Chair for the Claims Interest Group, and is one of the founding members of the CPCU Interest Group Road Show.

Heather holds a master’s degree in Learning Design from the University of Illinois, and has earned the CPCU, AIC, AIS, AINS, SCLA and ITP designations.
